A new way of cooking that’s over 200 million years old

Trade & More presents the “Persian Salt Block” a culinary technique endorsed by top food experts involving cooking on top of the block with the same precision as a cast iron griddle, with hardly any fat and locking in all the flavour. Himalayan Pink Salt, highly prized for its rich content in dietary minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium, is one of the stars of modern cooking even though it is an ancient product whose origins go back 200 million years.

The Persian Salt Block withstands extreme temperatures (from +470°C to -20°C) and it is under these conditions that it releases just the right amount of salt to season foods. As a griddle, it can be used to cook meat and fish of all kinds, as well as vegetables.
